About Me

Hi, welcome to my blog! I'm so glad you found your way here.

Who am I?
I'm Lea, a former full-time engineer who decided to go back to grad school to pursue a PhD. Right now I am finishing up my dissertation and looking to start the next chapter of my life. When I'm not doing research, you'll find me rock climbing, cycling, or generally being active outdoors. I also love fashion, food, books, and travel. I like to blog about style, personal finance, healthy living, and anything else that interests me.

Why do I have a blog?
I started this blog back in 2014, because I desperately needed a creative outlet. As an engineering grad student, I spend most of my time doing hard technical work. I wanted a mental escape from thinking about my research all the time, and so this blog was born. Also, I love fashion, but I don't have many friends who share my passion. Through the blogging community, I have found an encouraging and supportive group of people who are interested in the same things as me.

What is this blog about?
When I first started this blog, I mostly wrote about my struggle to balance my love of fashion with my desire to stay within a reasonable budget. I also reviewed clothes from my favorite stores, J.Crew and J.Crew Factory. Then, due to personal reasons, I took a break from blogging until April 2018. Now that I'm back, I would like to shift the focus of my blog to be broader, ranging from style to personal finance to healthy living and whatever else interests me. Hopefully you will enjoy following along on my journey!

What are my measurements (for size reference)?
I am 5' 4" and weigh approximately 125 lbs. My measurements are 32C-26-34. I typically wear regular tops but petite bottoms. I have a straight figure with broader-than-average shoulders, and my inseam is 30" long. My usual J.Crew size is 00 and XXS, although I sometimes size up for my shoulders. My denim size is 25, sometimes 26. My shoe size is between 5.5 and 6 (closer to 6).
