Why does Engineer L have a blog?
I started this blog back in 2014, because I desperately needed a creative outlet. As an engineering grad student, I spend most of my time doing hard technical work in a male-dominated field. I wanted a mental escape from thinking about my research all the time, and so this blog was born. Also, I love fashion, but since I'm immersed in a predominantly male environment, there aren't many people that I know who share my passion. I found the blogging community and really feel like I've gotten to know people through this medium. I also love hearing from readers! I've been so impressed by the level of engagement and support, and I really appreciate it.
What is Engineer L's blog about?
When I first started this blog, I mostly wrote about my struggle to balance my love of fashion with my desire to stay within a reasonable budget. I also reviewed clothes from my favorite stores, J.Crew and J.Crew Factory. Then, due to personal reasons, I took a break from blogging until 2018. Now that I'm back, I would like to shift the focus of my blog to be broader, ranging from style to travel to my hobbies to personal finance to whatever else interests me. Hopefully you will enjoy following along on my journey!
